The Beast

The iconic Chevy Camaro needs no introduction. We have seen five generations of this car go by and the 6th is on its way now. And there are five variants you can choose from - LS, 1LT, 2LT, 1SS and 2SS. Each of these variants offer options like OnStar rims (18” or 19”), Boston Acoustics sound system, Bluetooth, USB connections, dual rally strips, Inferno interiors, spoiler (LT), etc. So, as a package, the Camaro sounds quite exciting.

The Machine

The engine starts at a 300-hp 3.6L V6 for the LS and goes all the way up to a 422hp V8 6.2L for the SS models. The 1SS also includes Brembo brakes, and a ‘limited-slip differential’. For the SS models, six-speed automatic/manual gearshift options are also included. The most interesting addition, of course, is the Active Fuel Management, which is expected to put to rest any doubts about its fuel efficiency.

The Thrill

We have always sworn by the Camaro, especially after the International Race of Champions that saw racing Camaros burn the tarmac. Although not quite on the same performance pedestal, the 6th generation Camaro will certainly help us relive the memories of a bygone era.
