Good news car lovers. A successor to the legendary Citroen 2CV is rumored to be in the works albeit in a thoroughly modern interpretation of the classic design. And designer David Portela is reinterpreting the classic model in celebration. In order to retain the charm of the original 2CV, the concept features the same curved bonnet, slab sides and covered rear wheels. Keeping trademark details such as the slatted bonnet, the concept features flush modernistic panoramic windows and Steampunky exteriors.


Using a structural style that is both “retro” as well as avant-garde at the same time, the Citroën 2CV concept truly delivers as a futuristic interpretation that can certainly find a place for itself in times to come.
