ECOS Harbinger electric car aims to compete with the Tesla Roadster
Harshpaul | Nov 21 2009

The Harbinger electric car from ECOS (Electric Cars of Springfield) made its debut at SEMA. The electric car has a slight resemblance to Lamborghini by its looks, and coupled with scissor doors, it sure does leave an impression.

Built on an aluminum frame, the car has a Netgain DC motor to push it from zero to 60 mph in just 5 seconds, and move on to the electronic limit of 117mph. The motors draw juice from 30kWh lithium ion batteries, and are good enough to provide the car with a 150 miles range. Production of the car is scheduled for February next year, with each car carrying a price tag of $89,995.
