Staff | Dec 3 2005

Ferrari FXX has been unveiled at the Bologna Motor Show. Equipped with an 800 hp engine, custom made Bridgestones, a full transmission and data acquisition system, and an excellent 40 percent more downforce than the Enzo, the Fearrari FXX does seem to be yet another beauty from Ferrari.

The company has defined a new type of customer for this new Ferrari FXX - the Client Test Driver. The individual gets a chance to particpate in the Ferrari-sponsored series of track events in Europe, North America and Japan. In addition to this, he will also get a personalized driving course at Ferrari’s Fiorano Circuit, and custom fitting of the seat and pedals by Ferrari technicians.

The car is said to be the most technologically advanced GT car ever from Maranello. The car is powered with a V12 engine. The gearbox has been picked up from the F1 technology and delivers a gear changing time of less than 100 ms.

The instrument panel has been supplied by Magneti Marelli incorporates a new data acquisition system. A video camera is also installed on the roof which points towards the rear and a special TFT display on the dash removes the need for rear view mirrors.

29 limited edition cars for its special customers were delivered in mid-November. The limited number of this model along with the package is going for a whopping $1,720,000 excluding the taxes.
