Fiat 500 turns into 'objet d'art', grabs $85,000

A Number of art aficionados on this planet are always in search of a collectible piece of work and this include a great number of those richie riches who are ready to pay any price for getting hold of that exclusive objet d’art.

And last Saturday, in a Contemporary Art Auction at Phillips de Pury & Company salesroom in London, some one from the above mentioned bunch surely found what he was looking for; that’s the reason why the person spent a hefty $85,000 for a Fiat 500.

The inimitability in this 500 is that it has now transformed into a canvas for a painting from Tracy Emin, an English artist. The artist plans of making another three of these 500s as her canvas. One out of those three will make its appearance at the years end while the other two can be seen by the coming year.

All of the proceeds by the auction of these coming three and the one which is already sold will go for a charity selected by the artist PEAS, which raises funds for a school library in Uganda.
