Heuliez Friendly concept car unveiled!

The Beast

The Paris Auto Show 2008 truly has been the event for ‘green’ cars. Among hybrids, electric motor-power engines and the occasional fuel cell car, the Heuliez Friendly looks out of place. It has a design that combines a mini-van and a small car, and a name that is not befitting our most favorite machine segment – automobiles.

The Machine

The Friendly lives up to its name, incorporating an environment-friendly electric system that delivers reasonable performance levels. The electric vehicle offers a top speed of 70mph and can last for 140 miles on a full charge. An interesting feature is the nickel metal hydride battery that can be powered-up through any wall power socket.

The Thrill

Electric cars have been the rage of this year, and we believe the scenario is going to continue till an alternative ‘green’ power option is developed. Although we prefer the red line, the Friendly would still remain a decent city option for all the obvious reasons.
