Developed by researchers in Japan, this high-tech wheelchair provides greater mobility to the disabled. The prototype RODEM looks and even functions like a scooter to some extent. It has an all-wheel drive, and the cushioned surfaces on the prototype provide safety for the legs and chest.
The user can control and steer the RODEM through a joystick, or if they prefer, the RODEM can be controlled through the scooter like handle as well. This prototype is the result of the collaboration between Tmsuk Co. and some Japanese universities.
