Harshpaul | Sep 7 2007

Mazda Premacy, known to the ‘outside world’ as Mazda 5, will go on sale in Japan today. The model has been enhanced to give a more sporty and stylish look. This compact minivan will be available through Mazda, Mazda Anfini and Mazda Autozam dealers.

Exteriors have become smoother and the headlights have been redesigned. The indicator lights and the rear combination lights are now LEDs. Interiors see a change in the instrument panel design; it has been given blacked out dials with highly visible white illumination.

The car is fuel-efficient with both, the 2WD and 4WD variants being classified as Super Ultra Low Emission Vehicles, this makes the vehicles eligible for Green Tax exemption as well.

Price tag on the Premacy varies between 1,768,000 ($15,365) to 2,355,000 yen ($20,465).
