
If ever a car fanatic dreams of being at a place, it could be nothing better than the Ferrari Car Museum in Dubai, which is almost ready to give the enthusiasts a treat, they could cherish forever. This is a name, which would do rounds in the coming future, but there are a few around, which have pleased every buffs soul and deserve a mention every now and then.
The mood has been nostalgic since morning so to add to the air, I just thought of reminding you of names which should be kept in mind every time a discussion about the same comes up.
To rate them on their credentials would be a folly for each one of them holds individual importance but to bring them to light is a toast to their stature.
The museum rejoices 40 years of Team Penske, named after Roger Penske, a stalwart owner in Indy car and NASCAR racing, with a collection of vintage cars and memorabilia. The museum is located at Chauncey Lane, Phoenix.
2) BLACKHAWK AUTOMOTIVE MUSEUM
Blackhawk showcases 90 vehicles dating from 1897 to the 1960s, selected for their significance or artistic inspiration. Situated at Blackhawk Plaza Circle, Danville, California, it opens Wednesday through Sunday.
3) CALIFORNIA ROUTE 66 MUSEUM
The California Route 66 Museum maintains and displays a collection of historic photographs and artifacts related to the history of Route 66 and its communities. The displays include automotive history, cultural and economic impact as well as the development of the highway itself. Exhibitions incorporate corresponding topics such as early pioneer trails and the railroad.
4) DAN ROUIT FLAT TRACK MUSEUM
The museum displays memorabilia related to the history of motorcycle racing, including flat-track race bikes, posters, programs, trophies, leathers and helmets. Situated at W. Rialto Street, Clovis, California, the museum has a goal to preserve and display America’s own true racing motorcycle history.
5) THE NETHERCUTT COLLECTION
The collection was begun by J. B. Nethercutt, the co-founder of Merle Norman Cosmetics. There are 200 meticulously restored vehicles, dating from 1898 to 1982, including an 1898 Eisenach Runabout and a 1967 Ferrari 365 California Spyder. There’s also a leading automotive library.
6) WALLY PARKS N.H.R.A. MOTORSPORTS MUSEUM
The NHRA Motorsports Museum presented by the Automobile Club of Southern California is housed in a 28,500-square-foot Art Deco-styled building on the Fairplex in Pomona, California. The impressive entrance is guarded by a larger than life-size statue of NHRA Founder Wally Parks. The Museum is home to more than 80 historic vehicles representing drag racing and other forms of Motorsports.
