The pride and joy of German officers in World War II, Tatra T87 is also a prized piece in the extensive and eclectic collection of celebrated American entertainer Jay Leno. Not being just an airheaded collector with a seriously unhindered cash flow, Leno actually knows his cars almost inside out and leaves almost no stones unturned in giving everyone an expansive and detailed summary of the history and geography of the car that was once nicknamed Czechoslovakia’s “Secret Weapon”.
Of course Leno’s version of the car’s background is every bit as entertaining and insightful as his witticisms on The Tonight Show and perhaps he might even consider doing this full time after he bows out from the NBC gig in May 2009. Watch Jay in action with the Tatra below.
