One thing you can be very sure about with the time passing, is that Europe will have more and more strict regulations governing emission levels.
Toyota seems to have understood the fact, is devising means to cut down the sale of its RAV-4 and make the Land Cruiser vanish from the European markets!
The Japanese auto giant is voluntarily working very hard to lessen emission levels. The auto maker aims to diminish the emissions for its fleet to approximately 140g/km, which will be in accordance with EU rules.
As the RAV-4 is a hit around Europe, the company is seeking different ways to reduce its sales; the company has decided to raise the price of the vehicle.
The Land Cruiser which was never so popular in Europe will simply be pulled back of all its dealerships as soon as the current model year ends.
As far as the regulations are concerned, for now they are not legally enforced but as the time passes it is for sure that these regulations will turn into laws that will govern in the coming future.
And thus it seems a far sighted and ethical plan of the company, which will surely help it in the long run.
