mbrace, new telematics system for Mercedes-Benz
Naresh Chauhan | Nov 25 2009

Revitalizing its existing remote assistance system, Mercedes-Benz has launched a new telematics system called “mbrace” that helps in stolen vehicle tracking, crash notification and voice-enabled navigation. Apart from tracking and navigation, the latest assistance system also offers Mercedes Concierge, which lets you call up an operator to make restaurant reservations and find nearby events, when not working as a personal assistant. Moreover, the mbrace lets you lock/ unlock the doors and find the car’s location through your mobile phone, but only if you are using either the BlackBerry or the iPhone. The mbrace after six months of free service and three free months of mbrace PLUS (Mercedes Concierge) will set you back $280 and $520 per year respectively.
