Renault Megane Trophy concept is built for the circuit

The Beast

Instinctively or otherwise, there are times when you can tell if a concept car would ever reach production. It could either depend on the technology or the design of the car per se. In the case of the Renault Megane Trophy, we are fortunate enough to have received the information without racking our brains. This car would be manufactured in limited numbers for ‘a spec racing series’. And we have little doubt that it is built for the same purpose, with seamless curves, road-hugging skirts and race spec’d air intakes on the bonnet and the sides.

The Machine

The Megane Trophy gets a Nissan engine - a 3.5ltr V6 to be precise. The engine delivers a generous 360hp, with a six-speed sequential transmission complementing it. Clearly a car that’s orgasm-inducing, the Megane Trophy will be a force to reckon with on the racing circuit.

The Thrill

Cars built for racing are designed for the ultimate rush. With the Megane Trophy, you can’t expect anything less than that. We eagerly await the results of the first practice.
