Saluting the Bygone Era
Munish | Sep 29 2007

The Norte Dame U. is all prepared to host a one day exhibition today, showcasing the work from car designer and Norte dropout Virgil Exner.

Exner can be called the most renowned designer for Chrysler and is known for his exceptional work during his tenure there (1955-1961).

Though his work in other companies over the years got him more recognition, his initial work with Chrysler saw some stunning designs, including the concept car, XNR.

The name for this concept seems to come from the designer’s name... XNR and Exner, does that ring a bell?

The event will have 13 showcars and concept cars from the ‘50 era, a book signing and lecture, and will see participation from Exner car clubs as well.
