It’s summer and no matter how hard we try, there’s no escape from parking the car in the sun. Leave it parked for a few minutes, and the interiors get burning hot, also, touching the steering wheel is completely out of question, for a few minutes at least. British company Solar Guard has offered a solution with a colorless window film. The film claims to block 99% of the UV rays and 40% of the infrared rays entering the vehicle.
The film uses a “nano particle coating” to block the radiation, and does not interfere with electronic signals. Since the air conditioner has to do less work overcoming the heat, the fuel efficiency of the vehicle can increase. Finally, like our friends at Autopia, we can quit carrying oven mitts in the glove compartment… oh wait.
