A constant battle between GM and Toyota dominate the auto world these days. While Toyota only has GM to overtake to become the best carmaker world over, here is fresh news, highlighting another Toyota vs. GM fight.

According to the American Customer Satisfaction Index released on Tuesday, GM is more irresistible to carbuyers than Toyota. However, in the case of customer satisfaction Toyota still dominated over GM.

Highlights of the study on a 100-point scale:

Toyota rates 87.

GM’s Buick brand ranked second with a rating of 86 and tied with Honda.

Chevrolet score 81, which is the industry’s average.

Dodge and Chrylser fell well below average.

Jeep, Ford and Kia slots last.

It must be noted that Toyota has not been able to make any improvement from its score in 2005. While GM on the other hand, improved by 2.4 percent. Therefore, it looks as if GM would soon overtake Toyota and retain its place as the no.1 carmaker.
