Vishal | May 31 2007

VW Jetta will be powered by a diesel engine that claims to be the cleanest of all in the world. The announcement has been made considering the initiative of the company to promote the merits of diesel engines in the US.

After Volkswagen announced a technological tie-up with DaimlerChrysler to develop BlueTec oil-burning powerplants now the company is set to put it into production. BlueTec significantly reduces nitrogen oxide emissions. Variants are expected to be added to the UK line-up.
