Volkswagen’s long awaited Pickup Concept!

Volkswagen finally decided to publicly announce that a VW Pickup is back on the counter. Set to be unveiled later this week, the new pickup previews a four-door dual-cab utility that will go on sale in South America and a few other select markets early next year. This vehicle certainly looks like a improved and polished version of the Ridgeline.

The vehicle was developed jointly by VW and several emergency services experts in Germany. It is described as a rescue vehicle for marine use and is fitted with blue LED lights on its roof, SAR (Search and Rescue) labeling, and a five-foot cargo area. The interior has been kept simple but comes equipped with a multifunction touch screen central display for the stereo system.

I personally think that the pickup’s design is perhaps one of Volkswagen’s best yet. The gasoline and diesel power plants will be available when the production version goes on sale next year. I’d love to see the VW pickup available in India, but I know I am asking for too much here!

I so want this truck :)

This is really ragged for a VW that has really sleek and clean concepts before. The hatchbacks and the minis are really different from this one. Different Cargo Liners are good with this one.
